Annual Airport Open House Benefiting Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities

Join us for the annual Dulles Day, featuring the Plane Pull - benefitting Special Olympics Virginia. Sponsored by the Airports Authority Police Department, Dulles Day is free of charge and fun for the whole family! Get ready for a full day of fun, including:

  • Fire truck and mobile lounge rides (with cash donation)
  • Music performances
  • Kids truck pull (with cash donation) and play area
  • Classic car show
  • Aircraft displays of all sorts
  • The famous Dulles Day Plane Pull - two planes being pulled by teams of 25

All proceeds go to Special Olympics Virginia.

Some tips for planning your Dulles Day experience:

  • Consider using Metro - the Silver Line will take you directly to the airport and shuttles will take you to the front gate.
  • Stadium bag policy in effect - no backpacks, luggage, or bags larger than 5x7, unless it is clear plastic.
  • Strollers and bags for childcare or medical purposes are allowed, but will be searched.
  • Prepare for the sun! Hats, sunblock, light clothing - whatever makes you comfortable.
  • Food and drink will be available for purchase. You may bring in an empty water bottle to use at our free filling stations.
