As part of the airport’s master planning process, the Airports Authority has invited technical advisers and regional stakeholders from the community to assist both the Airport Authority and its outside master planning consultant, Ricondo & Associates, Inc. These stakeholders will bring an additional level of community and stakeholder involvement and their deep knowledge and skill sets, which augment those of Airports Authority and consultant staff.

The advisory committees:

  • Review the project process
  • Serve as advocates for the organization to the community
  • Provide technical expertise
  • Provide expertise on issues important to the community
     

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

The TAC will review the technical and operational analyses and recommendations issued throughout the master planning process. This committee will include Airports Authority staff from various divisions, as well as representatives from the FAA, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), airlines, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), municipal and county community and transportation planning agencies, and other key airport users.

Regional Stakeholder Working Group (RSWG)

The RSWG is comprised of select Airports Authority senior management staff, as well as key members of other business and economic development agencies, government and community groups, and policy makers. The RSWG will provide insight and guidance on the community's reaction, sensitivity, views, and desires for Dulles as it operates today, as well as how it should evolve in the future.
