Dulles welcomed the Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds air demonstration team to the Washington, D.C. region on May 24, 2016. Here is an overview of events connected with the team's visit. Visit the links provided for additional details:

Tuesday, May 24

The team conducted a midday fly-over near the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The team then flew to Dulles International Airport, first passing over the runway with "show smoke" then circling back to land. Several spectators watched from atop Parking Garage #1 looking south toward Runway 1R/19L (closest runway to Route 28). Our camera was positioned alongside the runway and captured this view:

Wednesday, May 25

The Snowbirds were on display outside The National Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center for "Meet the Snowbirds" from noon until 5:00 p.m. Visitors were able to get an up-close look at the Canadair CT-114 Tutor jets that the Snowbirds fly, meet the pilots, and learn about the activities that go into the demonstration maneuvers through presentations and video.

Thursday, May 26

The Snowbirds took off from Dulles Airport and departed the region for their next scheduled engagement.
