We anticipate normal operations for travelers at Reagan National and Dulles International airports in the event of a government shutdown. Airport functions such as parking, concessions, customer service and public safety that are provided by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority are not tied to the federal budget and will continue normally. Essential federal services such as security screening, air traffic control and customs are also expected to continue. Passengers can check directly with their airline to confirm the status of their flight.
